Pre-Wel Manufacturing has two W.A. Whitney Plasma Punch Presses, a 647c and a 647Plus. Pre-Wel Mfg. recently completed a control retro fit on our 647Plus machine. Pre-Wel Mfg.'s in house staff designed and installed the new control system. It was converted from an obsolete GE Mark Century 2000 control to a fully open software based control. Pre-Wel Mfg. chose OpenCNC by MDSI this is our second OpenCNC control system. Four years prior Pre-Wel Mfg. Retrofit'd OpenCNC on to the 647c machine, that machine has worked flawlessly ever since. Below are some before and after photos of the latest machine to receive reliability from the MDSI OpenCNC.
